Washio (鷲尾 Washio) is a minor character in the Anima Yell! series.

As a first-year member of Kaminoki High School's Newspaper Club, Washio is dedicated to searching for the truth and obtaining the true essence of whatever subject she investigates, often while sporting a red armband representing her club.
Having asked Hizume for their assistance, Washio eventually gathers the Cheer Club members for an impromptu interview. Although she wishes to reveal the entire breadth of their activities for the school, Kohane at first somehow mistakes her for wanting them to show their "breasts". Eventually, the Cheer Club helps Washio gather materials for her next article, hoping to help alleviate the Newspaper Club's lack of interest and club members.
Washio is relentless when it comes to gathering materials, often taking many pictures with her camera using many angles, and having to intrude upon personal space when needed.
