Anima Yell! (アニマエール! Animaēru!?) is a Japanese four-panel manga series by Tsukasa Unohana. It began serialization in Hobunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine, while an anime adaptation will air in October 2018. The title is a play on the word "animal" in Japanese (アニマル). Each cheerleader has a kanji character representing a certain animal in their names — pigeon, monkey, horse, tiger, and cow.

Anima Yell! is a comedy series centered on cheerleading, and set in the fictional city of Kaminoki, Japan. While sports is a major theme throughout the series — with girls performing cheer routines at sports events — Anima Yell! can be best described as a school comedy. Much of the series focuses on the many hurdles that the characters must go through as they attempt to solidify their standing as an official school club. They interact with various members of the student body, accepting requests that may or may not have anything to do with cheerleading at all.

Kohane Hatoya falls in love with cheerleading after witnessing a cheer performance along the riverbed. She eventually graduates from middle school, but in the few short weeks before her entrance to Kaminoki High, Kohane quickly researches everything she can to prepare herself for its cheer club. Arriving at her new school with pom-poms in hand, Kohane excitedly checks the club activity board, only to become devastated to learn that the club was not listed.

However, motivated by an insatiable desire to help others and to inspire them, Kohane decides to start her own cheer club. Enlisting the help of her childhood friend, Uki Sawatari, and veteran cheerleader, Hizume Arima, Kohane makes a mad dash to find new members and hone up her cheerleading abilities.
